Booking Policy:

A booking fee of £30.00 is required to secure your wedding date along with the return of a signed and completed contract.  The booking fee is a standalone admin payment and is not deducted from the final balance nor does it contribute towards the cost of any service.

Your wedding date is not secure until the booking fee has been received and your contract returned.

For lessons or occasion makeup bookings, a £15.00 booking fee is required  to secure any booking.  This fee will be deducted from the remaining appointment balance due.

All booking fees are non-refundable.

Payment Terms

The bride is responsible for all payments.

The final balance for wedding bookings must be paid no later than 1 week before the wedding day, unless agreed otherwise.

If you fail to make payment by the due date, I reserve the right to cancel the booking.

For lessons and occasion make up bookings, the remaining balance can be paid before, or on the day of the service.

Bridal Consultation and Trial

Your bridal consultation and trial, whilst not compulsory, is strongly recommended.  The cost of any trials are in addition to your wedding day makeup and should be paid for on or before the day of the trial.  Trial sessions are booked in after you have secured your wedding date with the booking fee.

All trials take place at my home makeup room in Folkestone, Kent on weekday afternoons during off peak season months (October - March) where possible - subject to availability.

I am unable to carry out trials during evenings or on Sundays or Bank Holidays.  During peak wedding season (Apr-Sept) Saturday dates are also unlikely.

Please take this into consideration before booking.

Client Responsibility and Behaviours

All clients must inform me of any issues that may affect the use of my products or equipment.

This includes, but is not limited to: contagious illnesses (such as cold sores, eye infections, Covid-19, severe sickness bugs), sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions.

Smoking, vaping or drug use is absolutely not permitted during any makeup application.

Should any client become abusive, threatening or offensive at any time in my company, I reserve the right to terminate my services immediately without any refund.

I reserve the right to refuse any makeup application if I have any concerns about contagious diseases, illness or client behaviours.

Cancellations

Wedding cancellations must be made at least 12 weeks (3 months) before the wedding date.  Any cancellations made later than this will still be liable to pay 50% of the full amount due.

Wedding cancellations made with less than 48 hours before the wedding, will be required to pay the full amount due.

All cancellations must be made in writing.

You will not be refunded for any trial sessions that have already taken place.

Your booking fee will not be refunded in any circumstances.

In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend on the wedding day (due to weather conditions, an accident, traffic delay, family bereavement etc) I will endeavor to find a replacement artist.  Where possible, they will receive photos and a copy of the notes made at the trial session.

In the unlikely event of a full cancellation by me, you will be fully refunded.  Please be confident that I have an 100% attendance rate and it is not in my nature to let any client down.

In the event of you having to postpone or re-schedule your wedding, all reasonable attempts will be made by me to accommodate your new date.  If I am unable to commit to the new date, the booking fee and any payments for trials that have already taken place, will not be refunded.

Alterations to bridal party numbers

Any reductions to the number of people requiring makeup on the wedding day must be made in writing at least 12 weeks (3 months) before the wedding.  Reductions made with less than 3 months notice will still be charged at the original price.

I will always try to accommodate an increase in bridal party numbers if I can but please provide as much notice as possible.  If an assistant make up artist is needed, I cam make arrangements for this but it will incur an additional cost (see pricelist).

Additional Important Information - On the wedding day requirements (where possible)

On the wedding day, I will require a suitable working environment to allow the getting ready experience to be an enjoyable, calm and  stress free time.

Near a window or door (natural light) is ideal with some clear table top space for me to set up my kit.  I will bring a chair with me.

All members of the bridal party should be makeup free and ready on time.  Makeup applications takes between 45 mins and 1 hour, depending on requirements.  Clients should be prepared to sit still during the process - not using phones or getting up from the chair.

If there are young children present on the wedding day, please ensure they do not tamper with my kit, brushes or any products.  I reserve the right to make a claim to cover any damage caused to my kit by you or your party.

Photos / Videos

I kindly ask to use any photos or videos taken during your trial or on the wedding day on my social media platforms and / or website.  Please do let me know if you do not wish to be photographed.

In addition, I am happy to be photographed on your wedding day, but politely ask that any images showing my makeup work clearly credits me as the makeup artist.

Suppliers

I am not liable or responsible for any other suppliers that I work with or recommend.

Insurance

I have public liability insurance and have insured with Salon Gold - a copy of my certificate can be provided to your venue if requested.
