I've always been passionate about makeup and a massive product junkie from an early age. 

Despite dreaming of a career in special effects makeup, my journey to becoming a makeup artist actually started much later for me.  In 2011 I was asked to do my good friends' daughter's prom makeup.  It was the spark that ignited the flame and in January 2012 , despite being self-taught, I took the plunge and 'Make Up by Sarah Bennett' was brought to life.

I pride myself on providing a high quality, individual level of service to each and every one of my clients; tailoring skincare and makeup to your personal needs to ensure we reach the desired result.  A self confessed perfectionist, I will always aim to enhance your natural beauty, not hide it. 

My makeup style focuses on fresh, flawless, real looking skin and beautifully blended eyes.  No heavy, cakey bases here....I want you to look incredible both in person and also in your photos.

It's not just about well applied makeup, but how it makes you feel when you look in the mirror.  Making you look beautiful is the easy bit....but making you feel beautiful is a totally different ball game and one I strive to achieve each and every time someone sits in my makeup chair.  If I can leave you feeling like a more confident, polished version of your usual self, then I'm a happy gal!

My reputation is super important to me, it's what people remember and I consider it my most valuable asset.  What you think of me as a person is just as important to me as how well I paint your face.  I want every client to feel at total ease in my company and am lucky to now call so many of my previous brides friends.   If we aren't laughing on your wedding morning I'm doing something wrong....

I live by the sea in Folkestone, Kent and love welcoming clients to my home salon for appointments.  You'll no doubt get to meet our lovely rescue cats, brother and sister duo Lenny and Lola.  Len is renowned for falling asleep on laps (or bosoms!)
 
I'm immensely proud to have reached the finals of the Kent Wedding Awards in 2021/22,  2022/23, (where I took runner up spot) and again in 2023/24.  And last year I was delighted to make the regional finals in The 23/24 Wedding Industry Awards.  To be recognised for my passion is something I'm always incredibly grateful for.
